Friday, Club Day
Friday is club day in Nathan's school. Clubs or CCAs (co-curricular activities) are usually held after school hours, from 1:40-3:10 pm. Hence, it's not only the students/kids who attend their CCAs on Fridays. We, moms, have our so-called club too-the "dally club." What do we do in this club? We bring lunch and feed our kids at 1:10 and dilly-dally til 3:10-hehe... Infact, we have our own tambayan too at Blk 279 Tampines Street 22, #09-226-that's Anna's unit.
Last Friday, the "dally club" had a more organized and well planned "meeting." Our agenda: to nourish our kids at 1:10, fetch them at 3:10 and proceed to Anna's place, prepare food for dinner, attend the "meet the parents" session at 7pm in school and return to Anna's unit for more fun. :) We also invited some special guests-our husbands-hehe.. Neat isn't it? :) Anyway, so for dinner we had Spaghetti, chicken, mixed veggies, garden salad, leche and fruit salad. oooppppssss.. wait... Actually, that was what we prepared but things changed after the meet the parents session in school. Gina, also a pinoy mom in Griffiths, was celebrating her birthday on that day. She invited us to have dinner and celebrate with her. Since we wanted to make her happy, we dropped by with our hubbies and kids in tow (Gina lives a few floors and units away from Anna, so it wasn't a hassle to go to her place). Gina served us fish, chicken, pancit, spicy rice, and salad all cooked and made in malay style. The food was quite different to our taste buds but it was good. I didn't stuff myself that much as there were still some food waiting in Anna's house. The group decided to leave Gina's place at 10:40 and continued the fun in Anna's nook. We were suppose to go videoke-ing, but since it was late and we were afraid to disturb the neighbors (we could be reported and police might come knocking at the door-it happens here in Singapore), we thought of just munching and exchange stories. We called it a night at 12 mn.

By the way, inspite of Nate recuperating from fever and allergy, he insisted on going to this "get-together."
