Nathan's 9th birthday

No fancy restos, no new clothes, no birthday celebrations in school. Just a day to play video games and surf the net-that was how Nate opted to celebrate his 9th birthday.

Since July 18 fell on a Wednesday, Nate knew that he wouldn't be able to play/touch his psp, ps2 and surf the net (he usually visits youtube and wwe.com). Joey and I asked him if he wanted to go to the city to celebrate his birthday, but Nathan said he was tired of going to the city. His only wish was to have mom and dad's pasta and chicken for dinner and to play his favorite video games in his psp and ps2 and check on youtube and wwe's site, NO AFTERNOON NAP and do whatever he wants (he actually said/sang "today is the day of Nathan's way"). So we said, "No problemo! wish granted!" As soon as he got home from school, he was very excited to do everything he wanted. He quickly finished his lunch and rushed to the computer to view wwe.com and youtube. I guess due to extreme rush of adrenalin in doing whatever he wanted, he got tired and dozed off (haha! i knew he wouldn't miss his afternoon nap). Nate woke up at 5:30, played a little with his mei-mei (mei-mei is mandarin term for younger sister) and got ready for church/mass. When we arrived Melville (our place), he swiftly ran to the playground. Tanya and I, on the other hand, headed straight to our unit. Joey was already at home with all the stuffs we needed for dinner-the ingredients for the pasta, chicken from KFC, the cake, etc, etc, etc. Nate returned to the house at past 8 (he usually goes home at 7 whenever he played in the park/playground). We had dinner at 8:30 and by 9pm Nathan and his dad were off playing NBA 2007. Nate got a series of telephone calls from well-wishers while playing. Lolo Roy and Lola Len were the first to call, followed by Lolo Hector and Lola Marylyn and Tito Paul was the last to call. Nate also received an email with a powerpoint presentation from Tita Cielo. The birthday boy ended his special day contentedly at past 12:30am.

And by the way, he received 2 gifts from 2 of his girl classmates-hehe!!!
