Tanya's first big day

Last June 9 was Tanya's first big day-her baptism. The whole family was excited. I had a real short time preparing for this ocassion but I made sure that everything would turn out to be beautiful and be a real fest. Ofcourse the celebration wouldn't be complete without daddy joey-he arrived at 12:20 aboard jetstarasia.
By 1:30pm we started preparing, taking pix of tanya-her dress, invites, balloon, etc. and 5 mins to 3 we left the house to catch the 3 pm baptismal rites (the church is very near our place so there's really no need to rush)-it was a special baptism, meaning Tanya was the only one to be baptized. At around 3:15 pm, the priest, Fr. Jerry, came out and wanted to start (since there was going to be a wedding at 4 pm). I panicked a bit since some sponsors weren't there yet (particularly Tito Paul, joey's brother, who flew in from Singapore for Tanya's baptism), but no choice but to start-Paul and Kay-one of the ninangs, arrived a few minutes before the pouring of Holy Water. Tanya was very behaved during the whole baptismal rites. She did not cry when water was poured on her head and even stretched out as if she was soo contented. She slept thru the whole baptismal rites and during the picture taking. Ninong Eric and Ninong Proxy Edwin (edwin stood in for Joey's cousin who is in America), Ninang Kai and Ninang Sharon arrived after the rites but in time for the photo session. We finished everything at the church by 3:45 and headed to Cafe Adriatico, westgate in Filinvest Alabang for the reception.

Joey, Nate and I were pleased and grateful to have shared Tanya's baptism with friends and family. It was indeed a celebration (thank God for celebrations like this)!
